About WIF

One of Brisbane’s most anticipated fashion events returns — bigger than ever.

Founded in 2020, Women in Fashion (WIF) was created to build a supportive community where women across the fashion industry can connect, collaborate, and celebrate one another. After five consecutive sold-out events, WIF continues to grow each year. What began as a small Brisbane gathering has evolved into a highly anticipated fashion industry event, bringing together designers, entrepreneurs, creatives, media personalities, influencers, and emerging talent.

As we enter our sixth year, Women in Fashion is expanding beyond Brisbane — growing into a national platform with events in Brisbane and Melbourne, with exciting global expansion ahead. In 2026, we will welcome 400 distinguished guests to celebrate creativity, leadership, and the future of fashion.

About Women in Fashion Long Lunch & Awards

The Women in Fashion Long Lunch & Awards has become a signature event in Brisbane’s fashion calendar. After years of sold-out success, 2026 marks our biggest celebration yet, welcoming an expanded audience of designers, founders, stylists, media personalities, influencers, public figures, and industry leaders. The event creates a vibrant space where connections are formed, collaborations begin, and achievements are recognised.

As one of the Designers with Ravishing Fashionistas, I loved and worked with their goal to empower and embrace women of all sizes, nationality and beliefs. Over the months we prepped and designed an outfit that would stand out on the runway for each of my 10 beautiful models. RF was a great creative motivator for me during quiet retail times. I really enjoyed working with the models and the many talented people behind the scenes. We received a large amount of photography and videos from the main show, as well as the promotional shoot, for our own use. My social media was way up as all the RF models and crew were very active on the socials. I had a great overall experience as I always make the most of the events I am involved in.

My 2 daughters are doing the catwalk with ravishing fashionistas. This is their first time doing a catwalk and I would have to say I am so happy it is with them! The fact that they are all about positive body image, makes me so happy! They are the most inclusive, friendly, down to earth bunch of people I have ever come across in this industry! Due to the constant support and reassure of Upma Kite and all the RF team I truly believe now that every woman can be a model in her own right. Gaining this confidence I participated in Ms Diamond International 2022 and I’ve been awarded the title of Ms Diamond International 22. RF has empowered me to embrace my unique beauty. At our recent Spring launch at The Old Government House, there was a great representation across age, cultural background and body types.
