Brisbane RF Fashion Show 2024: A Night of Glamour and Inclusivity
The Brisbane RF Fashion Show 2024 made a spectacular return over the weekend, attracting an enthusiastic crowd despite coinciding with Father’s Day. On Sunday evening, guests gathered at the Treasury Hotel, eager to immerse themselves in a night of glamour.
This year’s event, another sold-out success, was made possible by the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers, media partners, and the Brisbane City Council. Guests were welcomed into a beautifully transformed courtyard, reminiscent of a European soirée.
VIP attendees enjoyed a pre-show party filled with champagne and a lively photo booth, creating an electric atmosphere. The event attracted a diverse audience from across Australia, including politicians, socialites, designers, and industry professionals. Although Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner could not attend, his heartfelt support was conveyed through a televised opening speech that resonated with the crowd.
Event creator and director Upma Kite took the stage to warmly welcome all guests, expressing profound gratitude for the community’s support and acknowledging everyone involved in making the event a success.
For the first time, the RF Fashion Show opened with an Artistic Show, featuring stunning wearable art from Sunshine Coast designers Olga Blake-McKenzie, Eloise Galea, and Natalie Hamblin. The captivating presentation set the tone for the evening, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and innovative design from environmentally conscious materials, highlighting the importance of sustainability in fashion. The audience was spellbound by the artistry and creativity on display.
The main event showcased 12 talented designers and 50 models, celebrating diversity and inclusivity. Models of all shapes, sizes, and ages—including children—graced the runway, breaking stereotypes and redefining beauty standards. Ravishing Fashionistas displayed an unwavering commitment to challenging norms, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The show received extensive media coverage across Australia, attracting designers and stylists from afar. The dedication and talent of everyone involved shone brightly, with models captivating attendees with their poise and elegance. The RF Fashion Show 2024 was not just a fashion showcase; it was a vibrant celebration of creativity, inclusivity, and the flourishing fashion scene in Brisbane.
